Ms. Espie-Underwood, President of the firm, has been a leader in the OSHA consulting field since 1970. UGE-ECS is a multi disciplinary Environmental Engineer and Consulting firm headquartered in Southern California, providing services throughout the United States and Internationally. UGE-ECS staff includes experienced professionals and support personnel providing services in federal program management, major project control, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and hazardous materials abatement and training.
UGE-ECS has participated in all aspects of initial site evaluations, including Phase I, II and III assessments, site discovery, background investigations, confirmation studies and hazard rankings. UGE-ECS has extensive experience investigating sites where poor housekeeping practices and improper containment has resulted in environmental contamination. UGE-ECS has conducted Preliminary Assessments at a wide variety of government facilities and buried drum sites. The firms' involvement in conducting preliminary assessments includes a wide range of contaminants released to air, surface, subsurface soils, surface water and ground water.
Ms. Underwood has been in the Environmental Engineering Industry since graduating from college in 1972. Below is her educational background. Ms. Underwood has been in the Environmental Health & Safety Industry since the OSH Act was signed into law by President Nixon, December 29, 1970, known as the William & Steiger Act.
Ms. Underwood opened her business in 1982 and the rest is history.
